Summer Camp 2024

On Sunday July 7th, arrive at IBC by 12:30 pm – park at the pavilion area

• Eat a good lunch before you arrive

• Wear class A shirt for all Troop 41 travel. Leave your neckerchief at home for this outing.  If you are an OA member, please bring your OA sash to wear during OA Wednesday

• Drop off your trunk and your camp chair and stack neatly on the wall of the shelter

• Pack what is on the packing list.

• Do not pack what is not on the packing list.

• COPE, Tower, ATV, and Welding participants need to pack specific clothing items (scroll to the bottom). 

• HAVE YOUR NAME ON YOUR TRUNK, CHAIR, AND ALL PERSONAL GEAR!!!

• Get in line for check in (parents fill out drug administration paperwork prior to arriving). All medications need to be in their original containers. If a scout takes over-the-counter meds daily, be sure to include those on the form.

• Absolutely no electronics (cell phone, walkie talkie, etc). Summer Camp, like all Troop activities, are NO ELECTRONICS events.
  Troop 41 has a One Strike policy.   If a leader sees a scout using electronics during an event they will ask the scout to hand over the phone and it will be returned to the scout's parents at the end of the event.

• Bring money for the trading post.  Crooked Creek suggests about $50 per scout for the week.  Younger scouts are encouraged to keep their money with Mrs. Foster, who will be available at the trading post anytime it is open.  

• Bring a daypack with your 10 essentials.  Include your scout book (in a ziploc bag.  

• Bring merit-badge worksheets/pencil for any eagle-required badge. (Make sure to hang on to the worksheets)

Clothing: 

• Grey, green, or tan shorts (not athletic shorts, no camo) should be worn whenever in uniform.  

• Crocs can be used for showers, but they are not permitted in the rest of the campground.  

• If you are in WELDING:  Bring non-synthetic, long-sleeved shirt. 

• If you are in COPE, TOWER, or CLIMBING:  Wear long pants, tennis shoes or boots with good traction, and water bottle

• If you are in ATV: wear long pants and over-the-ankle boots

Scouts will return on Saturday morning.  We will send an email/text with an ETA once they are on their way.  Scouts must help with unloading the trailer and equipment before leaving.  They will be dismissed by the SPL once everything is done.
